As the vote on the disastrous repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act draws near, ultra-conservatives may be progressive’s allies.

The Washington Post reports that at least 25 members of the right-wing voting bloc known as the House Freedom Caucus oppose the American Health Care Act as currently written.  One can only assume the opposition is due to it not hurting enough poor, sick, or elderly people.  But, nonetheless, they are allies to those who want to see the bill stopped.

The House Freedom Caucus usually vote as a bloc on House bills (instead of representing their districts), but some are not participating in the nonsensical behavior of bloc voting tomorrow.  A recent convert to a “yea” vote is the racist Steve King of Iowa.

Obamacare is not perfect, but it helps millions of people.  It is crucial that you call your Representative and urge them to vote NO on the AHCA.  Millions of Americans will lose their health insurance if this bill becomes law.
